BananaBrainsz goes to COLLEGE!

So it's my first night at FSU and I don't feel any different yet. I feel like I'm just on another trip or something.
I decided I SHOULD update my blog now and try to do it atleast once a week or something. I'm like yawning so much right now but I don't feel like going to bed. I guess I should. Well, right now, I'm pretty excited for tomorrow so I can check out the campus and figure out how I'm going to get all the way over to the Art Building. I also have to get up early to change my schedule in the morning. Yay!

Well off to bed now. You all need to text me and hit me up on Facebook. I love getting texts and notifications and stuff. I even more love to get mail! I have my own mail-box on campus so if you want to send me mail, let me know and I'll give you my U-Box address

Florida State University & End of Senior Year

Well for starters, I got my FSU roommate assignment today which is super exciting because it's one step closer to FSU. She seems really cool and even Sudesh approves of her. =]

On another note, today was my last day at Lake Weir High and I actually don't feel one bit sad. I guess I'll miss it eventually but I definitely don't right now.

I've decided to spend my summer volunteering at the Headquarters Library in Ocala and put in an application today. I also put in an application to work at Publix in the Shores. We'll see which one gets back to me first.

Graduation is a week away and a reminder to all seniors that there is Graduation Practice at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

In School - April 7th

I just realized that I can post blogger posts from school. That's quite cool.

Anyways, I've heard recently that there are 45 days left of school. Thank gosh!

Preschool - 2/15/11 - Day 3

So every Tuesday and Thursday, I will be volunteering at a daycare in my neighborhood. I am on my 3rd day and so far know the names of 60% of the 1-3 year olds. I've worked mainly with the 3 year olds so far. I usually get there about 3:30 pm and leave at 6 pm when the last preschooler is gone. It's actually quite interesting to work with these kids because I have nieces and nephews in the same age group. The kids are pretty intelligent for their age which is great.

Today, I was reading a Winnie-the-Pooh book to them and Pooh was trying to steal honey from the bees. So I asked what would they do if someone tried to steal from your house and the number one response was that their daddies have guns. Why should a 3-year old know if their parents have guns or not? That's pretty terrible to me. Is it normal for an entire group of 3-year olds to know the purpose of a gun and the fact that there is one in their homes?

It's crazy what children are exposed to at such an innocent age.

2011 - A Year in PREVIEW

Summer Break! YAY!

I've not done much so far but I can say it is going pretty well so far.
Pooja's Gurumukh Samskar went totally well and I enjoyed it =]

Other than that, I've attend Becca's 17th Birthday and I've been around the Shores a little bit.

Today, I took my seniors pics and I'm not to fond of how they came out but it's alright. I'm not planning on buying any..

Hmm. I had a lot to write about but now I've forgotten everything.

One Week!

School's almost out! Thank gosh. I can't wait for summer break to begin! These past few days at LWH have felt purposeless.

So what are your plans for the summer?

As of right now, I'm thinking to volunteer a bit.

I'm going to Guyana in July so that'll take up some time.
